July 4th Weekend in Oak City

July 3rd is my Dad's Birthday so we began the weekend with a Birthday Party for Dad. Since Ryan and I were both off that day we left early Friday morning for Oak City. Ryan went golfing with Dad (who had already played 18 holes) for 9 holes. While they were golfing, Mom, Emily and I took pictures of the kids playing outside (Kaylin's favorite thing to do)!!! When the boys got home we had dinner which was the best chicken quesidilla I have EVER had and lots of salads and fresh fruit that we ate ALL weekend!!

Saturday Morning (the 4th) we went to Delta for the Parade. Something my family does every year. We sit in the same place every year and pretty much the same people sit there too so it is fun to see the families that we sit by year after year!
This year I made a candy bucket for Kaylin! I figured it would be easier for her to put the candy in it when she picked it up off the street.

Kaylin needed a little bit of help pointing out the candy (so did Kolby~ Tiff helped him)

Here's Kaylin and Hiett getting candy!

After the Parade Kaylin fell asleep on the way home right after she attempted a text message! It was so cute to see her holding the phone, her water and completely asleep!

After the naps of most of the children and a few of the Mom's and Grammy, the kids put on their swim suits, lathered up with sunscreen and then played in Grammy's kiddie pool and then ran through the sprinkers with Auntie Em.

Of course after Dinner and baths we went back to Delta for the fireworks. Kaylin LOVED them she sat on my lap the whole time and every now and then she would say "WHOA"

We had so much fun spending time with our Family and eating LOTS of YUMMY food!!!
