Kaylin 6 months old... STATS!!!

Today we went to the doctor for Kaylin's 6 month visit! The Doctor said that she is growing well and seems to be developing well. She weighs 14 pounds 7 ounces (25th percentile) and is 26 1/2 inches long (75th percentile) and her head is 44 cm (90th percentile)!
I cannot believe that she has been apart of our family for 6 months now... time sure does fly! I am continually blessed and thankful for Kaylin in my life, she is such a precious little girl!!

July 27th

Today has been such a great day spent with family! Ryan gave me "coupons" for particular things for my birthday. My favorites are: "A diaper Free day!!!" and "a he'll get up in the night with a screaming person!!!" I also received a cake decorating kit from my parents, and new camera from Ryan's parents (this came last Tuesday). My mom made a yummy dinner... kabobs (chicken and beef), dutch oven potatoes(cooked in the oven because the dutch oven was in Delta) Fresh fruit and dip and my most favorite... German Chocolate Cake!!! I am glad that this day is over... I guess being 30 isn't too bad!

Pioneer Day

We had such a fun day!!

First we went to the Parade in Spanish Fork.
They threw us a melted otter pop, and a few of us were eating one so we decided to let Kaylin play/chew on one.

She got so dirty that we had to change her clothes before we went to Tucanos for an early birthday dinner for me. I LOVE this little tennis dress. She looks SO cute in it!!

At Tucanos she kept looking at the water on the table. She had finished her bottle and kept smacking her lips so I thought why not let her try water from a straw. She LOVED it so much and wanted more and more, and got very wet!!

After Tucanos and her nap, we went outside in our backyard to play. This is a picture of daddy holding her upside down!!!

Today was so hot, but it was a great day. Today is the last full day that Kaylin's grandparents are visiting from Oklahoma so we had LOTS of fun with her. She is now quite spoiled or should I say "extremely loved"!!!

Vacaton in Torrey, UT

We spent the weekend in Torrey, UT.
Just outside of Capital Reef National Park.
We LOVE going hiking and being outside.

Kaylin LOVED riding in the front pack,
I think it gave her LOTS of freedom.
This is her with her Ryan's parents who had not seen
her since the middle of April.

Ryan LOVES spending time with Kaylin.

She is definately a daddy's girl.

Our hotel had a pool so we went for a swim. While at the pool I wanted to take a picture of Kaylin swimming with her grandparents so I got out to get the camera only to find out that it wasn't there. I thought maybe Ryan left it in the room, and then he reached in his wet swimsuit pocket to find that the camera and his cell phone went for a swim. For many of you that know this is the 2nd time our camera has gone for a swim. We go through a new camera every year it seems like. This is actually our 2nd camera THIS YEAR! Both times it was because of Ryan having it in his pocket!! We did buy disposable camera's for the rest of our trip, but I can't really post those pictures!! We had so much fun on Vacation. We took Kaylin hiking for the first time. She really liked it because she LOVES to be outside!!! Although she got a little hot so therefore got a little cranky!! But with a little water and the air conditioned visitors center she was back to her usual happy self!!!

What a happy girl...

To get Kaylin to Smile I just have to call her a pretty girl!
She absolutely loves to have her picture taken.
Kaylin loves to play with her toys, especially the exersaucer.
I joke around that our family room is beginning to look
like a child care center with all the toys everywhere!

I gave her a sippy cup a few weeks ago to see what she would do.

She actually enjoys it for the most part, but the water inside is not her most favorite.

Kaylin's Teeth

I was finally able to get a picture of Kaylin's two front teeth!

I think that they are SO cute.

I can't believe that she is already almost 6 months old.

It seems like just yesterday that I had her!

Kaylin's NEW favorite thing...

Kaylin has a new favorite thing to do, but is VERY annoying to me. She has decided to spit! It started out only when she was playing and was only occasionally; now she spits when I feed her after EVERY bite! She loves her food but she also LOVES to spit! I can't wait for this stage to be over because after feeding her I am covered in whatever I have fed her
(rice cereal, peas, peaches, carrots or green beans)!!!

What a Fun weekend...

Our weekend began on July 3rd, which is my Dad's birthday!
We celebrated the 4th with family in Delta and Oak City!
The 5th was spent resting up from a busy 4th
and sewing our quilt blocks to exchange and Cousin's Sleepover in August!
The 6th was our final day of the weekend in Oak City
and was spent Celebrating Matt's Birthday!

Auntie Em brought her sunglasses and put them on Kaylin!

The 4th we went to the Parade with my Sisters and parents.

Above is a picture of Jennie's kids, Madelyn and Hiett, with Kaylin waiting for the parade to start! The 4th was such a fun day. We went to the parade in the morning and then to the Delta park for games and I got to eat my favorite thing, Funnel Cakes! We then went back to Oak City for the afternoon, had a BBQ, played, gave Kaylin her naps, and woke her up to go the Fireworks in Delta! She was awake for the fireworks and when one would appear in the sky her eyes got so big. She sat in her car seat watching them so good! I couldn't believe that she was awake at 10pm and wasn't cranky!

Uncle Matt took Kaylin on her first 4 wheeler ride this weekend!

She LOVED it so much that...

Mommy took her too!!

And Daddy... And Grandpa.

The first 3 rides were quite short just around the yard, but Grandpa took her for a longer ride around town(about a 30 minute ride)! Whenever she got fussy in the evenings, we would take her out on the 4 wheeler and she would stop! And then would come back and be calm!

What a fun weekend we had! I am glad to be back at home,

but now I get to do Laundry, clean the house and try to get Kaylin back on Schedule!

Kaylin Eats Carrots!!

Kaylin tried Carrots today for the first time. For the last couple of weeks when we eat she stares at our food. After talking with my cousin yesterday, I thought that I should begin vegetables. Kaylin has been doing Rice Cereal for a few weeks and has done great so I though I might as well try to see what she thought. I placed the first spoonful in her mouth and she looked at me like what are you giving me, I told her they were carrots and that they were yummy! I was only expecting to get a few spoonfuls fed, but she ended up eating 1/2 of the stage 1 jar! I can't believe that my baby is getting to be such a big girl!
