What to do with Kaylin's bows?

Kaylin has so many bows, headbands and other things associated with being a girl that I know is just going to keep growing so I decided in my attempts to get a little more organized that I would figure out a smart way to store all of her stuff. I've heard of someone using an old belt and decorated the top of it to make it cute so I went on a search for a cheap belt and didn't find any that would work. So off I went to Roberts Crafts hoping to find something that would work and would look cute. I found an un-painted shelf with a bar and thought this will work!!! So I purchased it along with some paint...

And I also got the containers there and some cute ribbon and rub-ons to hold all of the misc. accessories. It worked out perfectly... exactly what I had in mind and there is still room to add more bows that I am sure I will be making!!!
I love that all of her things for her hair are located in the same place and I must say I think it turned out pretty darn cute!!!

Could Spring be here?

I noticed this weekend that some of my flowers out front were starting to bloom!!!

Yesterday, I was able to get this picture. It was such a beautiful day in the mid 50's. Today it is forcasted to pretty much be the same. Kaylin and I will be going on a walk and probably will play outside to enjoy this wonderful weather we are now getting!!! I just hope that it will last, but it is only February and it is normal for us to get another snow storm!!!

The Day Came...

...when Kaylin fell down the stairs!(I know this isn't a milestone and I am NOT happy about it I just knew it would eventually come) Ryan was upstairs making dinner (yes he does this quite regularly) and took Kaylin with him. I was on the computer reading blogs and on facebook! Kaylin usually plays with the towels in the drawer or with her kitchen set in the dining area! Well as I was getting ready to read a blog I heard, thump, thump, thump and Ryan gasping. I ran the whole 2 steps to the stairs to see what happened and found Kaylin on the ground near my feet! I quickly picked her up to give her "loves" and did this before Ryan finished gasping! I took Kaylin upstairs to have Ryan help me check for any bumps, bruises and her pupils for size. Everything seems okay!
While eating dinner, I noticed that she did have some rug burn on her nose I was trying to get a picture of it, but you can't really tell. Poor Kaylin! I think all 3 of us were a little scared; hopefully this won't happen again.
I would buy a gate for the top of the stairs, but there is NO way I can connect it safely. I guess I just need to practice going down with her now so that we don't have the same thing happen again!!! Luckily it was down to the Family Room on Carpet so a little softer landing and that we only have 7 stairs!!!

Cute Pics

On Wednesday Morning, Ryan took these cute pictures of Kaylin before I got up! Ryan is such a GREAT dad he gets up with Kaylin EVERY morning at 7 or so and gives her a sippy cup of Milk and turns on the Disney Channel or The Backyardigans (depending on the time she wakes up)!

I thought that it was so cute that he brought her blanket down from her crib and gave her a pillow in her vibrating/rocking chair. She sits there and drinks her milk while he plays the computer or whatever he does (I really don't know because I am still in bed)!!!

Her smile here is just WAY too cute! I can't believe she is SO happy in the mornings. Definately not one of my traits!!!

Any one know these 2 boys?

For several months (since Halloween) we have had kids in our backyard. A few weeks ago someone knocked on our door and told us that kids were throwing snowballs from our yard. Since we only have Kaylin it wasn't possible that it was our child. Well, weeks passed and the kids kept coming into our back yard (it is fully fenced) doing who knows what!!! On Wednesday I was folding Laundry on the bed in my in-laws room and happened to see them out of the window so I quietly went out to the side of the house they were hiding and aimed the camera where they were and caught them with a picture. They, of course, took off running! I think I know who the boys are and I intend on taking the picture over to their mother and letting her know what her boys are doing in my yard and it is NOT getting their balls that accidently came in!!!

In-N-Out

I got this http://www.heraldextra.com/content/view/300681/17/ from Ryan today! I, like him, was very excited to see that the rumors were true and In-n-out will be coming to American Fork! As the article states it could be in October that the resturant is done. In the article it also says that another In-N-Out will be in Draper! Can't wait we will definately be making the drive to American Fork for some GREAT food!!!

Finally Walking... well sort of!!!

For the past couple of days Kaylin has tried to walk along the couch once she gets herself pulled up to a standing position! Well today she became a PRO at it and I was finally able to get a video of it without too much coaxing of her to get her moving! I am so glad that she has started cruising; I know I should be glad that she isn't walking yet but I am NOT she scoots everywhere and gets into everything and I would rather see my almost 13 month old walk everywhere instead! I can't wait for her to learn how to do it on her own... I am sure that it is not too far away from happening!!! Vote on my poll of when you think she will start walking on her own!!!

Valentines Day....

For Valentines Day we made sugar cookies (something I remember as a child always having)!!! We also went out to dinner at "Brick Oven" and had a very yummy feast for two!!! After dinner we were driving home eating the cookies that came with our meal, we handed Kaylin back a piece of a cookie she ate it and said YUM! Then a few minutes later she kept saying... DooChoo! We couldn't figure it out for the LONGEST time and then as I was eating a bite of cookie she said it again and we figured that she was trying so hard to say cookie. At home when we were making the cookies she kept saying DooChoo so we caught it on video! So cute that she can say cookie even though only us as parents can understand that DooChoo means cookie!

We hope that you all had a wonderful Valentines Day!

Ryan's Surgery...

For those of you who know Ryan he has an extremely small esophagas and we have to go in and have an EGD done (Endoscopy) quite regularly. Today we went in for the third time in 5 years to have it done. This time the Doctor said that his throat was EXTREMELY tight and that we would need to come in again in 1 month to have it done again. When he said extremely tight I wondered well how small is that to myself he then answered my thoughts that it was basically the size of a PEA! I could not believe that my poor husband was trying to eat things and the hole to get the food through was the size of a PEA! Hopefully now he will be able to eat better! He did ask for Sonic on the way home and since the nurse said it was okay he has already had a cheeseburger and Fries and a drink!!! Now he is laying in bed watching golf and relaxing the best he can!

Cheerleaders

Last night at about 5 my Aunt Alice called me and asked a huge favor. She was in Orem at State Wrestles with 7 cheerleaders. The snow storm that came in made the roads very dangerous. I-15 was closed between Beaver and Parowan where they were headed. My Aunt called dispatch and they encouraged her to not travel if possible. So that is where the huge favor came in... She had permission from her principal to stay over but finding a Hotel for 7 girls and her was kind of out of the question so she asked if she could stay here. Last night poor Ryan had female OVER-LOAD!!! I had My Aunt and the 7 Cheerleader girls stay over at my house. They got here about 9 pm and left around 8:30 this morning! Because they were not planning on staying over they needed several items and I had to do a load of laundry for them!!! Overall they were a great bunch of girls. I was prepared for a night full of talking and giggles (you know how teenage girls are), but instead I was pleasantly suprised that just after 11 they turned off the TV and were quiet!!! I am glad that I could help out my Aunt but I don't think it will happen again... I like my time with my husband and I didn't get it that much last night!!!

I have my camera!!!

My camera arrived from UPS today so of course I took TONS of pictures.

For the past couple of weeks, Ryan puts Kaylin on one of the shelves in the pantry and then closes the doors and asks me what I want for Dinner. I open the doors and say... I think I'll eat a Kaylin. She then giggles and we do it over and over. She lays so still on the shelf I am quite suprised!!
One...Two...Three... is Kaylin's favorite game. She will do this over and over! Giggling all the time!!!

Kaylin loves the PHONE!!! If you are on the phone she will put her hand up by her ear and say Hello! She will take any remote or phone and hold it up to her ear and say "ya, ya, ya..." I think her mom must say that a LOT when she is on the phone!

Peek-a-Boo is another fun game she likes to play. Today she said "Boo" instead of us saying it! It was SO cute!
Kaylin is getting so big and is so Cute!!! I LOVE her so much!!!

Camera...

I called the camera repair shop this morning to check the status of my camera. I am a little impatient and need to know when I can expect to be taking pictures again! To my suprise, my camera was repaired and shipped yesterday so I should be getting my camera sometime next week! I am so glad, because it has been so hard to not take pictures of Kaylin! And I am sure Ryan's parents are wishing they could get pictures soon too! I think this is the longest they have gone without a picture of Kaylin!!

Kaylin is finally feeling a little bit better from her shots, I think!! She has good moments and bad moments but the bad moments are getting fewer and fewer. She has wanted to sleep a lot more but I think this helps her to feel better quicker!

The waiting begins...

My camera arrived at the repair center yesterday morning. Now I have to wait to see if they can fix it or not. They say it can take up to 2 weeks. I sure hope that it doesn't! Kaylin is doing lots of fun cute things and I can't take any pictures of it for my blog. I am using a disposable camera, but they don't take videos and she is starting to stand up more and yesterday afternoon she creeped along the couch a little. It was VERY slow going but she was doing it!

Today, Kaylin has been super cuddly and cranky. I know it is because of her shots last week. I feel so bad for her! She has had a fever most of the day and wanted to be held pretty much the whole day until Daddy came home then she played a little more but was still pretty close to one of us most of the night! I am enjoying the cuddling time because she is so fun to cuddle with; she strokes my hand as long as I am stroking her somewhere... it is the cutest thing! And normally she wont let me hold her for very long and cuddling is usually out of the question. She just has too many other things she would rather be doing that cuddling with mommy! As much as I enjoy the cuddling I would rather have my little girl happy and playful and not sick! It is much more fun to see her laughing and playing!!!

SuperBowl Party...

We went to my Parent's house for the Super Bowl this year. I had to bring bean dip, Dad and Madelyn made Lit'l Smokies in a blanket, Mom made Pizza and Cinnamon Breadsticks. We had LOTS of pop to last us through the game and then some. We all enjoyed cheering on Matt's Steelers! Matt LOVES the Steelers a LOT! He made a really pretty table with the Steelers LOGO burned in it! (sorry I couldn't take any pictures... My Camera is on its way to CT to get fixed) He was wearing all of his steelers attire and even had a few hats to spare for the top of the entertainment center! I am so glad that the Steelers won! It made Matt very happy and because he was happy so was the rest of us!
