The last day of January!

This month has flown by for me! I did like having Monthly resolutions, but I didn't accomplish everything on my list! I love that I did read 2 books, I cleaned my bedroom, but it hasn't stayed that way all month, and I did blog more! I still need to work on reading my scriptures better and reading the lessons before class at church! And I REALLY need to work out better!

For the Month of February my goals are to:

1. EXERCISE... If this baby weight is going to come off it is only going to be through exercise!
2. Read 1 book (2 was a little difficult as I neglect my duties as a mom too much!)
3. Read my scriptures. (This will be on my list until I master it and make it a habit, again)
4. Get to church EARLY so we can sit in the chapel every Sunday! This means that I have to wake up before 8am!
5. Spend less time on Facebook and more time with my children!
6. Finish cleaning and organizing my bedroom!
7. Get Kaylin's 2 year scrapbook finished!

I can't wait to see how February goes! It is going to be a FUN busy month, but I know I can do this!

Book Reading Resolutions!

So I wanted to read 2 books this month and I did...

"The Freedom Factor," by Gerald N. Lund, was a really good book that I read for our Neighborhood Book Group in February! My neighbor brought it over at 9am or so and I had it finished by 11pm that same night!!! Yep it was that great of a book, and I did take care of my kids too on a day they all had shots!! If you want a quick easy read, I recommend this one!

Next I read:

"Cross My Heart" by Julie Wright! Also a WONDERFUL book to read! For those of you who don't know, but Julie lives in Oak City and she is an amazing woman!

My cousin took pictures of my kids and from the sneak peak here I am SOOO excited to see all of them!

Happy Birthday Kaylin!

I can not believe that this girl is now 3 years old! Where did that time go?

Since Kaylin's birthday is on the 23rd I decided to make
a list of 23 things she has done this year.

This year Kaylin:
1. Mastered potty training (she rarely has an accident)!
2. Became a big sister! And the BEST one there is too! She helps me so much with the twins. She enjoys playing with them.
3. Went to Oklahoma 3 times (she is a great little traveler)!
4. Had her first week long sleepover at Grammy and Poppy's after the twins were born!
5. Has continued to develop her vocabulary and is speaking so clearly that hardly anyone ever asks us to translate for them!
6. Loves to ask, "Whatcha doin'?" Even though she knows what we are doing.
7. Has begun to ask how things are made.
8. Loves to play with her friends... (too bad we haven't been able to have too many play dates)!
9. Has learned to recognize some of the letters in the Alphabet.
10. Can count to 13 without help.
11. Knows most of her shapes
12. Is learning her colors
13. Wishes she could do ballet and go to school (maybe this year she can do one of those)!
14. Loves to Sing and Dance when we talk to Nana and Papa on Skype every night.
15. Loves to go to Nursery at church!
16. Loves to be read too (that's why she got a Tag Reader for her Birthday)!
17. Loves to play with her princess dolls.
18. Went to see "Tangled" at the Movie Theater. Her first ever trip there!
19. Loves to do her "job" (unload the silverware from the dishwasher)!
20. Still loves Dora!
21. Really likes to watch new movies (long ones too)!
22. Loves to have her nails painted!
23. Treats her dolls like they are her own babies!

Kaylin is such an amazing girl. I couldn't imagine my life without her in it!

Happy Birthday 3rd Birthday Kaylin!

The Scrapbooking Corner

I so wish I could have a craft room and not a corner in my bedroom... one day it will happen, maybe!

I have been so tired of my corner! Who can create anything in this kind of mess
Or find anything for that matter! Well, I decided that I must clean up this corner! So above is the picture BEFORE
And this is after!
It took about 1 hour to clean and organize although I still have a bit left to do as far as organizing goes! My mom has a plastic file holder that she keeps all of her cardstock in and I LOVED that idea so I need to finish up mine! It will make creating so much easier!

VACATION!

As always we had a wonderful time visiting our family in Oklahoma for our longest visit we've ever had there! We got there late December 30th and left Early January 10th and had a wonderful time. This post is FULL of pictures of all the wonderful fun things we did!

Kaylin and Emerson had so much fun playing and being silly together!
Kaylin and Emmy had fun opening presents for the first several days that we were there! This one they were opening their dog purses from Grandma Myers!

We borrowed this Jumperoo from Kevin and Kelly and boy did the twins have fun playing in that toy!

Ashlyn LOVES her feet and this was the first picture we've been able to get of her playing with those toes!

There were several days/nights that Emmy slept over too and this was just too cute to see them napping together with Nana and Papa and Kaylin had her arm around Emmy!

It was cold, but not cold enough to keep the guys from taking the girls to the park! They had so much fun and Kaylin really enjoyed playing outside during the winter!

Going down the slide was a favorite, and I just lover her smile in this picture! One that is real and not "staged"

While we are there, we celebrate Kaylin's birthday with our family and friends out there! What a lucky girl to get to celebrate her twice every year (she's always had 2 parties)!

This year we had Pizza, Fruit, and Salads for our "Birthday Party Dinner!" Kaylin, Emmy, and AJ really liked sitting together on this little table!

Clothes, Princesses, and Ballerina Dress and Shoes were among the presents she received!
After the cake and ice cream were dished up we found Kaylin and Emmy were the only ones at the table that seated 14! The rest were either playing or watching one of the football games that were on!

This really isn't the best picture, but it shows how excited she was to be a ballerina! (All of the pictures look like this)

Evan held his own bottle for a few seconds! So cute that he's learning so many new skills!

Bubble baths were given nearly every day! But who wouldn't want to take one when you can turn on the jets and it makes even more bubbles, and then you get to take a shower too to get all the bubbles off!

I just love this picture of me and Ash! She's getting so big!
Cousins watching a show! Too bad the twins weren't in there too!

Ashlyn jumped herself to sleep the last night we were there! She spent so much time in that toy and woudn't let us take her out if she wasn't ready! After I took this picture she would wake up every few minutes and jump some more and then go right back to sleep! It was the cutest thing to see!
We had such a GREAT time with our family! We were really glad to extend our trip 4 days so that we could play a little longer! When we told Kaylin that we would be leaving in the morning, she cried and said, "I don't want to go back to Utah!" She really enjoyed her time there, playing with her cousins every day and being spoiled by Nana and Papa!!

New Year's Resolutions

I have never been really big on setting resolutions because I seem to never be able to accomplish them. A friend of mine had on her blog monthly resolutions and I thought what better way than to set monthly goals/resolutions that I could achieve. So... near the first of the month I will list what things I am going to work on that month and hopefully report on what I was able to accomplish.
JANUARY 2011 GOALS/RESOLUTIONS
1. Exercise more! I really want to lose a few of those pounds I have yet to lose since having the twins!
2. Read 2 books
3. Read dailly from the scriptures.
4. Study the lessons for Sunday School and Relief Society each week.
5. Deep clean and organize my bedroom and scrapbooking corner.
6.Weekly blog with pictures of what we have been doing as a family!
I am really looking forward to this year and really hope that I can keep up with my Monthly goals/resolutions!!!
