HAPPY HALLOWEEN

I can't believe that it is Halloween already and that we get to participate this year with a child. When we first put on Kaylin's costume she wasn't too sure, she kept pulling at the hood, but after we showed her what she looked like in the mirror and made a huge fuss over how cute she was she was more willing to wear the costume. She makes a super cute "BEE." We will be going trick-or-treating later today so we'll see how she likes that!

How big are you?

Kaylin learned to raise her hands up when we asked her how big she was! It is SO cute! Nana Murphy taught her this in Oklahoma a couple of weeks ago, so it is fun that she would do it for the camera now! Kaylin has also learned to blink as you can see at the beginning of this video. She tries the blinking to get out of doing something! She is beginning to use her eye lashes to try to get her way!

Scrapbooking "Treats"

My cousin Nicole had this posted on her blog and I figured why not go visit this blog: http://rsalamon.blogspot.com/ to try to win a bunch of "treats!!!"

To be eligible WIN all the items (except the keyboard!) in the picture below, all you have to do is post a little something on YOUR blog mentioning the blog candy I'm giving away on Friday, Oct 31st then leave me a comment on this post letting me know. I will draw the winner late Friday night and post on my blog the winner. Good luck everyone!!!
Some of the items in the picture is a SAB stamp set from Stampin' Up!, ribbon, glitter, brads, an adhesive remover just to name a few items. I will also throw in a Unity Stamp Co. stamp as well as some other odds and ends I find to fill the box up!

Dance Class

Thanks to my friend Lyndsie for inviting me to go to a super fun dance class last nignt. I am so sore this morning, but I know the workout is exactly what I need to loose these few extra pounds I can't seem to shed since having Kaylin. It has been a LONG time since I did any dance moves so it was pretty funny to watch I'm sure, luckily I wasn't the only one who hasn't danced since she was younger... it will all come back to me I am sure as I continue to go every Monday night. The warm up routine was so great I could feel the "burn" and the intense ab workout was really good. The routine kicked my butt and I know where I need to practice more so that I can do everything better! I can't wait until next Monday night when I can go again!

The best baby ever!!!

I think that I might just have the best baby EVER! She is so much fun and I am so glad that she finally joined our family! Every game day Saturday Kaylin wears her cheerleading outfit and she always looks so cute! She has learned how to cheer when there is a touch down too bad I can't ever catch it on video. Last night we were at my grandparents house visiting and football was on in the background. She heard one of the announcers say "touch down" and she immediately put her hands up then started clapping! It was so cute!
This weekend was spent watching football, of course. (OU won!!) I hosted a bridal shower for Sarah on Saturday! I can't believe she is getting married! Then I spent most of the rest of the weekend cleaning up from the party, and resting as much as posssible!

I think we might be back on schedule

Last night we put Kaylin down for bed at 8:45 (before vacation she went down between 8 & 9). She was not too cranky, but she did want both parents around her for most of the evening which was fine we usually are every night. She slept until 7:20 this morning and was not crying when she woke up... just babbling! I love it when she wakes up that way, I know that we are going to have a better day when she does that. Like clock work, she went down for a morning nap at 9 and woke up just before 11. Then she didn't go back down for her afternoon nap until 2! Which is totally normal for her! She hasn't cried all day with exception of the vacuum (she didn't like that)!

Kaylin is 9 months old!

Today is Kaylin's 9 month birthday! We celebrated by going to Walmart for formula, and the mall to pick up her pictures from Sears. I can't believe that she is already 9 months, where did that time go? We will be going to the doctor in a couple of weeks for her well child check so I will post the details after we go. Here's what Kaylin can do now: sign "milk", "all done", and sometimes "more". She feeds herself cereal puffs, and has become quite good at the pincer grasp with her left hand. She rolls over and scoots backwards. She holds her own bottle most of the time. Kaylin babbles quite a bit... mama, dada, baba, and many more sounds. Squealing is still a fun thing, as well as growling. She loves to play pattycake, peek-a-boo, and anything else we think of to get her laughing. Nana taught her to raise her hands above her head when you ask how big she is, but you have to say "so big" when she raises her hands or she won't do it! Kaylin loves to eat pretty much any baby food given to her, cereal puffs, goldfish crackers(in small pieces), water from a straw, and of course her bottle! My baby is really growing up, but I LOVE it! She is so much fun to play with and to watch her learn new things! I can't wait to see what new things she will be learning in the next few months!

Has Anyone...?

Has anyone ever tried getting their baby back to their schedule after leaving Grandma's in a different time zone? We are still struggling! Kaylin wakes up at 5:45 am each day, and is the Crankiest at about 7:00 pm because she thinks it is bedtime! For the past 2 days she has cried a lot during the day (I don't think she's sick... No fever!). I have given her tylenol, motrin, teething tablets and baby orajel just in case it is her top teeth causing her grief, but she is still CRANKY! She eats well unless she is too tired (ie. 7 pm), I just don't know what to do! When her Dad gets home from work she is a little better, but is still quite cranky! Anyone have any suggestions? I could definately use them. Hopefully the rest of today will be better... here's hoping!

Addison, Kaylin & Emerson

While we were taking pictures of Kaylin and Emerson I decided that we needed Addison in the picture. Well, Addison does not like to have her picture taken so Ryan threw out some sort of bribe to get her to be in the picture and she still refused. I on the other hand bribed her with a story read to her, She LOVES books so I thought it would be the perfect bribe. She jumped up and posed next to Kaylin. After the picture was taken Addison and I went into one of the back bedrooms and read several books! I am so glad we got a picture with all 3 girls!

Cute Girls!

Kaylin and Emerson had the same outfit in their closets and Kelly and I didn't communicate the purchase; however we did communicate the matching outfits on the same day! It was SO fun and SO cute! We had to get a picture!

OU vs. Kansas

Ryan and I were able to go to the OU Football game! We had so much fun! It was SO hot having the sun beat down on our face during the whole game but we still had fun! Kaylin stayed with Grandma (nana) at Aunt Mariann's house and was such a good girl. After the game when we left Mariann's we were driving down the road I was on the phone with my mom and Ryan says, "Oh no..." after turning a corner. I asked if he hit something or what and he said NO KAYLIN TIPPED OVER!!! I looked back and told my mom I had to go while telling Ryan to pull over NOW! I jumped out and put the carseat upright, Kaylin was SCREAMING!!! Ryan took her out of the carseat while I strapped it in! We think it was taken out when we were at the game, but we don't know for sure! It was strapped in when we left and it was not when we came back! We were pretty scared for her and NOW I check the seat EVERY time to be sure it is in correctly!

OU won... 45-31

Our Vacation is ending:(

I am so sad that our vacation is ending. We have enjoyed spending time with family! Kaylin has been such a good girl and is getting pretty spoiled too! Today we spent time with Aaron and Amber our friends from Utah who live in Kansas! They were so great to drive down to Bartlesville from Wichita just to spend time with us.
Yesterday afternoon we went to the OU Kansas game which was so great! OU won! Plus I got a pretty crazy looking sunburn on my face from sitting in the sun all day!!!
Kaylin met so many family members and had such a hard time with the male variety of family besides dad and grandpa (papa)! Any time a male would talk to her she would start crying, we don't know if it is because Uncle Raymond scared her or what, but we HATE it! Kevin did spend some time with her tonight playing outside so she likes him a little bit more! YEAH!!! I have taken a lot of pictures but do not have a way to put them on right now so I will post some this week when we get home! Wish us luck on the trip home on the airplane!

We made it!!!

For all of you who knew, we made it to Oklahoma. Kaylin was such a good girl on th airplane. She slept for about 30 minutes and then just played and ate "banana puffs" for the rest of the flight about 2 more hours. She didn't get cranky at all which Ryan and I were so surpised about! Ryan's parents met us at the airport and Kaylin didn't cry at all when she saw them (we were pretty worried because it has been 3 months since she saw them last)!!! Kaylin has also met her new cousin Emerson, whom she really likes. I think she likes being the older cousin!!! Kaylin also met Aunt Laura, and Uncle Raymond and will be meeting several more aunts and uncles this week! She slept great last night and hasn't been cranky at all. She is getting terribly spoiled, but that's what Grandparents do!!!

Hardwood Floor Fun

Tonight when Ryan got home from work we were visiting in the Living Room and put Kaylin on the floor. She then started going all over the place backwards. I thought that she would for sure stop when I got the camera out, but NOPE she kept doing it. Then when we went down to the Family Room she slid backwards a little. I am so excited because this is the start of her crawling! Yes I know I shouldn't be too excited because then she will be into everything, but I am so excited to see her hit these developmental milestones!

Chips please?

Kaylin found the bag of chips last night, since they were almost gone we let her hold the bag. She will NOT be eating chips for a while, but she sure wanted to last night!

Daddy's Beanie

Yes, she's wearing Daddy's beanie! She is just so cute! We will be finding her a beanie of her own when we are in Oklahoma this week! She will need it because she LOVES to be outside and it is getting way too cold now!!!

JUST BECAUSE...

Kaylin is so stinking cute! I LOVE it when she smiles big and is so happy! That's what she's done all day today!

Wedding Reception

Last night, Kaylin and I went to a wedding reception for my cousin Krisitin! It was a beautiful reception and the food was great (Lion House cakes, fresh fruit and vegetable trays, and "ColdStone" ice cream)!!! Kaylin sampled both the banana ice cream and the chocolate ice cream! I let her taste the Banana and she kept doing the sign for more and grabbing at the ice cream and my mom gave her the tastes of chocolate. Kaylin loved both and we are not suffering at all for letting her taste the ice cream! I however won't be feeding her ice cream on a daily basis, I don't want her to become addicted to it too soon!!! LOL!!

OU vs. Texas

Well, OU lost which means we are in mourning... well sort of! And Ryan didn't get to watch any of it because our power went out for 2 1/2 hours during the OU game! I am positive he would not have wanted to watch anyway with them loosing!!! He got more out of the game watching on the internet at work than he would have gotten here!

The Biggest Game of the Year...!!

This is last years logo... Change the date to 10/11/2008

Today is the biggest game of the year so far for OU and where is Ryan at? Not here watching the game!!! He is at WORK! He is a little upset and has asked that I record the game just in case he decides he wants to see what happens! He will be getting several text messages throughout the day and I am sure he will follow it on the computer when he can at work! After work, Ryan is going to the BYU game with Mike so he will not be "watching" the OU game until much later if he does watch it!

Kaylin feeling better FINALLY!!!

On Sunday, Kaylin refused to drink her bottles, or anything! Ice cubes were the extent of the liquids going in her. Monday I took her to the doctor only to find out that she had a sore throat associated with a cold! The only relief I could give her was motrin or tylenol! Finally yesterday, she took a bottle, but... she will not let me hold her while she drinks so we put her in her boppy and let her drink! Whatever works right? She is wanting to be so independent now... I can't believe that she is 8 1/2 months old! Where has the time went?

Also a big thank you to all of you who came to my stampin' up party or ordered something! It was a great success and I am getting 2 stamp sets on my list for FREE plus a few other items!!! Can't wait to get busy using them when they get here!

Kaylin with Cool Sunglasses!!!

Madelyn had these sunglasses when she was little and Jennie brought them for Kaylin to borrow for a few months!!! We put the glasses on and then showed her in the mirror what she looked like, hence the reason for the picture in her bathroom! She kept them on a lot longer than I thought she would and I think she will enjoy them on those bright winter days ahead!!!

Kaylin and Grandpa!

Kaylin is usually not very happy around Grandpa, probably because Grandma is always around, but this weekend Kaylin didn't cry when Grandpa held her. We took this picture for Kaylin's family book so that she can remember faces and not be as scared when we are around family she doesn't see regularly!!! Also this weekend was Daddy's (Ryan's) Birthday! Madelyn thinks that every birthday needs to have balloons, so Jennie brought some! Kaylin loved holding on to the ribbon of the Balloons and didn't try to eat them!!! She really enjoyed them!!

Kaylin and Madelyn!!

Kaylin LOVES to be around her cousins and since Madelyn is old enough to hold her she pretty much lets her! All weekend Kaylin just wanted to GO GO GO like the others, but she just couldn't figure it out! Crawling still hasn't happened but I think it might pretty soon! She really wants to move!

Kaylin's Pretty Dress Pictures...

Today I went and got the Professional pictures taken
of Kaylin in her pretty Dress...
For some reason she kept grabbing at her ear!

I think this one is super cute!

She actually smiled while laying on her stomach!!

I was so suprised!

I absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE these pictures! I can't wait to have them to hang on my wall at home and to give them to grandparents! Too bad they won't be back until after we get home from Oklahoma!
