Every year we make it a special day by going to the temple with my Parents, Brother and Sister. This year was no exception... we began the day by going to the temple with Mom, Dad, Jennie and her husband JD! Then after picking up Emily and Chris we went to eat at one of my favorite places... Texas Roadhouse...
After Texas Roadhouse, we took a ride on Trax (or as the kids thought a Train) to see the lights at Temple Square. Kaylin was so cute when we told her we were going to go on a train... she kept saying, "All aboard". Mom asked me if she had ever gone on a train since she knew what to say, but NOPE she has never been on one... we can thank "Dinosaur Train" for that one!
Kaylin LOVED being able to touch the Salt Lake Temple. She went to several windows and said, "Hi, Hi, Hi" It was so cute to see her so excited to touch the temple. The entire night whenever she would see the temple she would say, "The Temple" I love that she knows the temple especially the Salt Lake since we have NO pictures of it in our house and she has NEVER been there!
Kaylin also loved standing in this area near the temple. She couldn't have cheesed it more for this picture, lucky for us she actually stood long enough and said cheese long enough to get a picture.
Here is our freezing cold family just outside the temple grounds on Main street plaza! It was so nice to go with family and to see the lights with Kaylin. She really enjoyed it and after a bribe for a treat when we got home, she managed to finally put on her gloves and keep them on until we got to the car when Ryan took them off!
We loved going to see the lights, but I think we will wait a few more years before we go again. It was so crowded and there is NO way I am taking 2 babies and a 2 1/2 year old up there next year!

2 Thoughts from Friends...:
This is a lovely post. Very cute about Kaylin saying "All Aboard". I look forward to future posts about your pregnancy. I am so excited for you that you guys are having twins ..... probably because I am a twin.
Why not? It will be an adventure with the twins! :)
